Stylish Lanzarote Villa Breaks in 2012

Tired of booking a luxury villa only to find out on arrival it´s anything but? There are hundreds of companies offering villas in Lanzarote for rent, but most feature the same old properties with a limited selection of locations available.

Lanzarote Guidebook however is different – as here tourists can view a much wider range of villas and apartments in all locations across the island. With plenty of more unusual and off the beaten track options too – such as luxury yurts located close to the sea in the small fishing village of Arrieta.

Lanzarote is one of the seven Canary Islands, which can all be found off the coast of West Africa. They are part of Spain and the EU and have long been popular with British and German tourists – who are able to swap their harsh European winters for sunshine here. With temperatures rarely dipping below 20 degrees Celsius.

There are plenty of great villas located in the main holiday resorts but increasingly visitors to the island are seeking to connect with the ‘real Lanzarote’. As the countryside here is spectacular and independent travel is much cheaper thanks to the ready availability of budget flights. Which can also be booked at www.lanzaroteguidebook.com

Once you have selected your ideal accommodation get out and explore – as Lanzarote is home to an amazing array of sights and attractions. For example, why not take a trip to the Moon whilst you are here – or certainly an area that looks very much like it! As the island is home to some amazing lunar scenery, created by eruptions in the 1730´s which went on for six years. This region, called Timanfaya, was declared a National Park in the 1970´s and attracts over one million tourists every year. You can even enjoy a camel ride around the outer edges of the park, but watch out if you are wearing scent or perfume – as this acts like an aphrodisiac on the animals!

Away from the volcanic region there are close to 100 beaches to explore – and some of these are truly spectacular, such as Papagayo close to Playa Blanca and Caleta de Famara on the North West coast. The latter is a favourite with surfers so head here if you want to try and catch a wave too. The three main tourist resorts of Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen all boast excellent beaches too.
